Smurfit-Stone Recycling Center
(a.k.a. Anchorage Recycling Center) is a 24 hour drop-off site for all accepted materials except plastic (plastic is accepted 9am - noon & 12:30pm - 4pm, M-F only).

Mixed paper
Junk Mail, cereal boxes, egg cartons, magazines/catalogs, phonebooks. (No hardbound books or metal bindings.) Drop at Smurfit Stone Recycling and Anchorage Regional landfill.
Magazines
Catalogs too! Recycle with Mixed Paper. Drop-off at Smurfit-Stone Recycling Center.
Office paper
High quality white and colored. Drop-off at Smurfit-Stone Recycling Center.
Mixed paper

Donate or buy used and new building materials at Habitat for Humanity's ReStore (743-8060).
Yard waste

#1 PETE soda & water bottles -- no caps! Drop-off at Smurfit-Stone Recycling Center.
Plastic jugs
#2 HDPE plastic milk & detergent jugs -- no caps! Drop-off at Smurfit-Stone Recycling Center.
Plastic bags
Stretchy plastic film like grocery bags, drycleaner bags, bubble wrap, shrink wrap. No food contaminated film please. Drop off at Smurfit Stone Recycling.  Also at CARRS, Walmart, and Fred Meyer Stores in the entryway bins (bags only).
Electronics
