Making Alaska beautiful!

Members of the Prince William Sound Stewardship Foundation and Whittier Parks and Recreation team up to take on trash at the annual Whittier Head of the Bay Cleanup Day in May.

Community cleanups are in full swing in many communities, each with the goal to make Alaska beautiful. To date, we’ve sent out nearly 700 cases (that’s 140,000 bags!) of yellow ALPAR bags to more than 100 locations across the state…and the orders keep rolling in!

Thanks to our bag sponsor Northern Star Resources Limited, these bags are free to nonprofits, community cleanup organizers and Indian General Assistance Programs (IGAP). Each year we have hundreds of dedicated servants who take it upon themselves to pickup litter on our landscape (road, rivers and beaches) for the benefit of all – thank you!
